The Trial

My Lord, I believe
All I wanted
Was Your Honor to see
But only if you were me
Then you'd agree

All of them with big homes
And fancy stylish cars
Living inside their narrow plastic jars
Should be residing behind the bars

And My Lord, I must say
Justice is all I desired
And honesty was all I required
But we are all tangled up and wired

In my defense I shall say
I'm rightfully convicted
For speaking the truth afflicted
often contradicted

In these times of deception
I've been secluded
When people are deluded
Your Honor included

With all due respect
If corruption is valid
Then My Lord, your very presence is invalid
And the laws are nothing but pallid

Our morals are subjectively dismantled
By hands of horror intricate lies
And hypocrite people in disguise
Who do not expect their congruent demise

My Lord, if I'm guilty for my humble intellect
I accept your verdict on my sentence
Indeed I committed a terrible offense
That's all I have to say in my defense

In name of freedom

The vengeance, vendetta and revenge of all
They all rose up upon one man's call
In dreams of freedom, they thought of revolution
In their minds, they called it evolution
A change that had to be brought
A fight that had to be fought
In name of freedom

The bloodshed inside the city walls
And the government who had to fall
With arms they resisted the civilians
Raging through a hundred thousand millions
Bombshells they dropped and shots they fired
Through guns of so-called agents they hired


No government could run by hands of corrupted
Their values, their minds, everything disrupted
The sleep was already prolonged enough
To free their minds, to break the cuffs
It was time to call it a day
But there was no easy way


And when the government confronted the ideas of a nation
They all shouted, it was a clear manifestation
That revolution was the only way
They could not let the government stay
The shackles had to be broken to think and to speak
They couldn't remain silent or stay weak


Once they stood up, they couldn't be let down
They couldn't let themselves drown
The thin line between war and peace
The anger within they had to release
They sacrificed what they had and all they could lose
It was something they had to choose
In name of freedom

Just as the nation stood up as One
The light was brighter streaming from the sun
The faded hopes were rekindled again
With lives and blood of those who were slain
Coming down from the skies of belief
They finally took a breath of relief


Then after the unison, they broke the walls
That kept them imprisoned inside the city halls
Justice prevailed, history written on a new page
The curtains brought down to a smothering age
Blood in the air and blood in the streets
They walked together, they walked in fleets
In name of freedom

With morning dew came something new
Freedom had arrived for lives of a Few
The music played, they sang their song
Everyone who joined sang along
And with this they shouted, they cried and laughed and screamed
A free country of their own they always dreamed
In name of freedom

Expiation

Walking past hallucinations
Paranoid and petrified
In dreams of ecstasy
Inside my subtle mind
Nothing behind

Thoughts meander and fly away
With images and words lagging behind
As I surrender to demons
And shadows inside of me
Setting me free
